Summary Polio virus has been detected in three main sewerage lines of Lahore.
The polio virus has been found in water of three main sewerage lines of the city including Gulshan-e-Ravi, Band Road and Shahdara.According to City District Government sources, test of several sewerage lines were carried out by World Health organization. DCO Lahore, Noor-ul-Amin Mengal, has confirmed the presence of polio virus and said that efforts are on to combat the situation. Meanwhile, 41 union councils of Lahore have been declared at high risk.
