The central and southern parts of the country are under the grip of scorching heat that has affected routine life in the country.Maximum temperature recorded in different cities was: Islamabad 37C, Lahore 39C, Karachi 35C, Peshawar 37C and Multan 40C.According to Met Office, rain with winds is expected in Gujranwala, Lahore, Faisalabad, Bannu, Kashmir and some parts of Gilgit-Baltistan.
