Summary The LHC on Monday ordered to remove anti-terrorism clauses from the FIR of Aslam Madhiana case.
Two-member bench of the Lahore High court headed by Justice Manzoor Malik resumed the hearing of Aslam Madhiana torture case.Counsel of Aslam Madhiana, in his arguments, told the court that the case of torture on scholl teacher was false and baseless while the police also included anti-terrorism clauses in the FIR against Aslam Madhiana which was against the rules. He pleaded the court to remove these clauses from the FIR.The lawyer of the government told the court that Aslam Madhiana along with his accomplices brutally tortured a school teacher and also opened fires on him while the anti-terrorist court could hear this case.Reviewing the evidence after completion of arguments, the LHC ordered to remove clauses of anti-terrorism from the FIR against Aslam Madhiana and directed Session Judge Sargodha to complete the trial of the case within two months.
