Summary The provincial budgets of Sindh and Balochistan for 2012-13 are being announced on Monday.
Sindh Finance Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah will present the budget in the provincial assembly in Karachi while Balochistan Finance Minister Asim Kurd Gelo will present provincial budget in Quetta on Monday afternoon.The total volume of Balochistan budget 2012-13 is expected to be more than Rs 150 billion in which Rs 33 billion are earmarked for current and new development schemes.In the new budget, special emphasis will be laid on health, education and irrigation sector beside creating new jobs.On the other hand, Sindh government will present its fifth and last budget having a proposed outlay of Rs 573 billion.A 20 per cent increase in the salaries of Sindh government employees and pensioners has been proposed.
