M M Usmani appointed as chairman of Steel Mills

Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has appointed M M Usmani as the new chairman of the Pakistan Steel Mills. The Prime Minister withdrew the decision of making the Managing Director Rasool Bakhsh Pulpotu of the company as acting chairman of the Steel Mills yesterday. Pulpoto became the acting chairman of the Steel Mill after the former chairman Moeen Aftab Khan was sacked. PM Gilani withdrawing the appointment revealed he was not taken into confidence before the decision. Currently, Phulpoto occupies the designations of managing director, director commercial, director marketing and director admin. His appointment was suspicious for being a part of former chairmans team. Sources revealed it is also likely that the corruption charges against him are investigated.
