Summary Protests continued Sunday against shortage of electricity and water in Karachi.
Power crisis has become worst in Karachi, residents of Chakra Goth of the city staged a protest against long and unscheduled power load shedding on Sunday.Violent protesters set a vehicle on fire and also threw stones on several vehicles.Heavy contingent of police arrived at the scene to control the situation.Several vehicles were set ablaze and a KESC office was ransacked Sunday as protests continued in different parts of Karachi against the power outages and shortage of water.In Korangi area electricity supply remained suspended for the last one week. On Sunday residents took to streets and burnt a truck. Police fired in air to disperse the protesters.In FC area the protesters attacked a KESC office, destroyed the office furniture and set two vehicles on fire. Protesting people in Liaqatabad burnt a truck and rickhshaw. Protesters also clashed with police in the area.
