Former Chief Minister Punjab Chuadhry Pervaiz Elahi said that rulers were appointing administrators to avoid the local body elections. Addressing the local body convention in Multan, he said that he would continue his support for local body system because DCOs could not be more aware of peoples problems. He said that PML-N was taking revenge from public representatives for their support of PML-Q. Mushahid Hussain said that the governments agenda was not to serve the people, it wanted to do corruption. He said the leaders would be held accountable for their deeds. He said that PML-N and PML-Q were from the same origin. Both had relations with the US. Former federal ministers Awais Leghari, Khusroo Bakhtiar, Sikandar Hayat Bosan and nazims of Multan, Bahawalpur and Khanewal also addressed the convention.
