Summary The court of Special Judge Central Khalid Shabbir heard the Hajj corruption case on Wednesday.
During todays proceedings, former minister for religious affairs Syed Hamid Saeed Kazmi, former Hajj director general Rao Shakeel and former joint secretary (Hajj) Aftabul Islam Raja appeared in the court.Earlier, a Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) team completed its investigation in the case and found Hamid Saeed Kazmi ‘innocent’.Prosecutor Chaudhry Zulfiqar argued that there is no concrete evidence against Kazmi, he has only committed negligence in the Hajj corruption scandal.The court has reserved its verdict on petition demanding Hamiz Kazmi’s release and decision is likely to be announced on May 25.
