Quetta: blast and firing on Sariab road, 2 killed

At least 2 persons were killed and 6 injured including 2 children in a bomb blast and firing on Sariab Road Quetta Wednesday. According to police sources, exchange of fire took place between security forces and unidentified miscreants after a blast occurred near a hotel on Sariab Road. The exchange of fire continued for a long time before the attackers escaped. Abdul Majeed (aged 60) and an unidentified man was killed during the incident whereas Samiullah (12), Muhammad Ehsan (14), Kajal Khan, Rehmatullah and Shah Muhammad got injured. The inured have been shifted to the hospital and the blast area has been taken in the security cordon. The number of fatalities may increase, the police sources said.
