Summary Supreme Court has issued notice to two ministries for delay in installations of power plants.
Three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry conducted hearing of petition moved by Khwaja Asif regarding delay in installation of power plants. The judicial commission report was also submitted in the court regarding delay in installation of Nandipur and Chichoki Malian Power Plants. According to report, delay in installation of power plants has caused loss of Rs 113 billion.After hearing preliminary arguments, the court issued notices to Water and Power and Law ministries, with the direction to submit detailed report within three days.
