Formation commanders conference is likely to approve recommendations proposed by promotion board.

The 4-day long session of formation commanders conference chaired by chief of army staff General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani is underway at general headquarters.The meeting is likely to give final approval for the promotion of lieutenant colonel to colonel and colonel to brigadier. Recommendations for the promotion of PMA long course 1981-82 and graduate officers of OTS 21-22 will also be reviewed during the meeting.Overall internal and external security situation and Siachen rescue operation is also being reviewed in the meeting.
