SC decision will have long term effects: FM

The Supreme Court of Pakistans decision has strengthened democracy and the democratic institutions, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said. He said that the decision would have long-term effects. Talking to the media at Multan Airport he said that Pakistan was not careless about its defense. He said that US forces had neither entered Afghanistan on Pakistans proposal nor would they leave on Pakistans wishes. He said that US had the permission by United Nations to stay in Afghanistan. He said that President Asif Zardaris current tour to Tajikistan had been successful and would increase foreign investment in the country. He said that agreements were being made with Tajikistan to end the electricity crisis. He said that Pakistani and Russian presidents had accepted each others invitations to visits their countries. He said that UN Commission was independent and could call anyone in Benazir Bhutto murder case.
