Unidentified people exploded 132KV tower in Quetta following which the Quetta Electricity Supply Company (QESCO) announced additional load shedding in many cities. According to the police, unidentified people planted explosive with the electricity tower in Haraz Ganji Baksh National Park that went off on Tuesday morning. The tower was destroyed after the blast and the electricity supply to the nearby areas was suspended. The blast sound was heard in far-off areas and frightened the people. Police reached the spot and started investigations. Nobody has claimed the responsibility yet. QESCO said that the blast had resulted in electricity shortage of 50 mega watts.
