(Dunya News) – A melodious evening celebrating Iranian culture was organised by the Consulate General of Iran at the Karachi Arts Council, where artists performed their traditional music and dance.

Iran’s famous musical group Ferdayeh Jam came all the way from Khorasan, Iran to Karachi in a bid to spread the colours of their culture through their music and melodious voices.

Ferdayeh Jam presented the works of Rumi, Iqbal’s poems and rubaiyat before the audiences in Karachi.

Ahmed Mohammadi, Consul General of Iran in Karachi said that such events help promote friendly ties between countries. He said the cultures of both the countries were similar and with cultural exchange programs like these, both the brotherly countries could come closer to each other.

The talented group also performed traditional dances to the tunes of their music, leaving the audiences captivated throughout the event.

A large number of music lovers also made their way to this event and were awestruck by the beautiful Iranian culture, its arts and music.
