Nation to witness renewed anti-polio campaign from Jan 16

(Web Desk) - The centre has decided to start anti-polio drive in the month of January and talks with the federating units have started in this regard.

That would be based on two phases: First phase would be from January 16 to 20 while the second would be from January 23 to 29.Besides the provinces, the campaign will also run in Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Almost 40 million children will be vaccinated in the process, children in the age group of 6 to 59 months will be vaccinated with Vitamin A and the aim of Vitamin A vaccination is to improve the immunity of children.
