Diphtheria, measles responsible for many deaths in Punjab

LAHORE (Web Desk) – The Punjab Health Department has issued a report in which deaths due to measles and diphtheria have been revealed.

The report mentioned from December 25 to 31, measles led to 25 deaths and diphtheria was responsible for 9 deaths, with 395 measles cases in Lahore and 334 in Rawalpindi.

Almost 32 per cent children who reported suffering from measles have not been vaccinated against the protection of the disease. Lahore, Rawalpindi, Sheikhupura, Attock, Kasur reported the cases of measles.
