2022 : A year full of challenges for health department

LAHORE ( Dunya News ) – The year 2020 had been a challenge for the health department with especially the scarcity of life saving medicines in hospitals.

In 2022, the miseries of the patients could not be alleviated as there was an ever increase in patients suffering from dengue, hepatitis c and aids.

The dengue patients increased to almost 20,000 and more than 500,000 patients were affected with hepatitis, increasing the total affected patients to almost 10 million.

However, the health minister from Punjab said almost three million people had utilized the health card and also new hospitals were being built in Punjab.

She added more than 90000 staff comprising doctors, nurses and paramedical staff were given jobs.

Unfortunately, no government hospital for the cancer patient was built in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
