Bollywood actor Tusshar Kapoor, who has been part of hits like ‘Golmaal’ and the latest ‘The Dirty Picture’, says multi-starrers have helped him more than his solo films.The 35-year-old actors multistarring ventures like critically acclaimed film ‘Shor in the City’, comic caper ‘Kyaa Kool Hai Hum’, gangster film ‘Shootout at Lokhandwala’, have earned accolades for him.For me as an actor it is my work, be it in solo films or films with an ensemble cast. I need to get into the skin of the character. But somehow multi-starrers have helped me a lot more than solo films. Be it the Golmaal series or The Dirty Picture. Working on such films have been a very rewarding experience for me, Tusshar told reporters.When asked if he wants to stick to multi-starrers or do more solo films, he said, I definitely want to do solo films. I enjoy doing solo roles because it gives me ample scope, whereas in a multistarrer the credit is shared, he added.The actor will be seen next in Samir Karniks ‘Char Din Ki Chandni’, a solo film opposite Kulraj Randhawa of ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana’ fame.It is an out-an-out comedy I am positive about the film. The script is entertaining and is backed by good production house. It is full of fun, colour, romance and music and is apt for Holi, Tusshar said.The film will hit the theatres this Friday.Tusshar, who has been playing the mute character Lucky in Rohit Shettys Golmaal series since 2006, has not restricted himself to just comedies. He has also dabbled with serious roles.Directors have been kind enough to offer me variety of roles. After ‘Golmaal’, which was a hard core comedy I was also offered serious roles in films. I have been very fortunate not to be just limited to doing comic films, he said.Tusshar made his debut with ‘Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai’ opposite Kareena Kapoor in 2001. The next two years followed with a list of Box Office flops.He said that he is happy with his career but there is much more left to achieve.Initially, I did make some bloopers with my choice of films but after 2004 things started looking up for me. I started getting good roles. I am happy with the way my career has shaped up but I am not satisfied. I want to push myself more and do the unexpected, he said.The actor, who is the son of yesteryear star Jeetendra and brother of TV cesarina-film producer Ekta Kapoor says he has no interest to go behind the camera.I dont have any interest to direct films. I may venture into production but not right now. I am happy to be an actor, he said.This year the actor will also be seen in ‘Shootout at Wadala’ and ‘Kyaa Super Kool Hai Hum’.
