Summary Trial in TikToker Sana Yousaf murder case nears completion as 22 witnesses are cross-examined; investigation officer expected to testify at next hearing
ISLAMABAD (APP) - The trial in the murder case of TikToker Sana Yousaf moved closer to completion as 22 witnesses were cross-examined, and more testimony is expected in the next hearing.
The hearing was held at the District and Sessions Court of Islamabad, where Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka presided over the case. State prosecutor Raja Naveed Hussain Kiani appeared before the court and presented the prosecution’s position.
During the proceedings, the defence lawyers completed cross-examination of three more prosecution witnesses. Among them were two assistant commissioners and one lady constable. With this, the total number of witnesses cross-examined in the case has reached 22.
The case is now entering its final stage as both sides continue to present their arguments and examine witnesses. The court was informed that the cross-examination of an important witness, the investigation officer, is expected to take place in the next hearing.
The court has summoned all remaining prosecution witnesses to appear at the next session to ensure the trial proceeds without delay. The judge directed the relevant officials to ensure the presence of all individuals required for testimony.
After completing the day’s proceedings, the court adjourned the hearing until tomorrow, where further cross-examination and statements are likely to continue. The case is being closely followed as it moves towards its conclusion.
