(Web Desk) - Two years have passed since Umer Sharif, a legendary comedian, said goodbye to his devoted followers.
On the second anniversary of his passing, admirers recall the comedian who forever changed Pakistan's entertainment scene.
Umer Sharif, who was born on April 19, 1955, in Liaquatabad, Karachi, began his successful career at the age of 19, first appearing on stage under the name "Umer Zarif" until changing it to "Umer Sharif."
He rapidly became well-known for his superb work in comedy stage plays like "Bakra Qistoon Pay" and "Buddha Ghar Pe Hai," as well as his memorable roles in films like "Mr. 420," "Mr. Charlie," "Khandan," and "Laat Sahab."
Umer Sharif received various accolades for his contributions to Pakistan's entertainment sector.
He received three Graduate Awards in addition to four Nigar Awards in a single year, making him the only actor to do so.
The Pride of Performance award was given to him by the Pakistani government in recognition of his extraordinary services.
Umer Sharif underwent therapy in the United States in August 2021 as a result of a heart condition. where he was transported by plane on September 28, 2021, from Pakistan.
As a result of his declining health. Then he was sent to Germany. Sadly, he regrettably passed away at a German hospital on October 2, 2021.
