Early October will see resumption of late night talk shows
(Web Desk) - Several late-night talk shows are getting ready to start broadcasting again. Notably, among the first programmes to resume production are "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert," "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," and "Late Night with Seth Meyers."
After the Writers Guild of America (WGA) and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) tentatively agreed to a new labour agreement, the development occurred.
Since the writers' strike began in May, these shows have been on hold, making them one of the first casualties of the labour unrest in the television industry.
These late-night programmes are prepared to resume once the strike is formally finished and the new agreement is approved, giving the authors and production teams the necessary time to resume their jobs.
While the hosts of "The Late Show," "Jimmy Kimmel Live!," "The Tonight Show," and "Late Night" will be back, "The Daily Show" has a special circumstance.
Due to Trevor Noah's absence during the start of the strike, the Comedy Central programme featured alternating guest hosts.
