Defying convention: Tuba Anwar urges couples to share household duties

(Web Desk) - Model and actress Tuba Anwar has expressed her dissatisfaction with the customary expectations that are only placed on women with regard to marriage.

In a recent interview, Tuba Anwar brought attention to the fact that when a girl gets married, she is frequently taught that it is her duty to manage the home, save money, and provide accommodations.

She questioned why only women were encouraged to compromise and emphasised that both spouses should take responsibility for the success of the marriage.

According to Tuba, creating a happy marriage is an art that needs education and comprehension. She recommended teaching young couples, in particular, how to resolve issues that can arise during the first two years of marriage.

Tuba advised couples, particularly those going through difficulties, to seek counselling in order to address problems and develop healthy relationships.

She emphasised that not only the wife, but also the husband, mother-in-law, and other family members were responsible for a happy marriage, thus the burden of duty shouldn't fall completely on the soon-to-be bride.
