YouTube star Grace Helbig discloses breast cancer news in touching video
(Web Desk) - American broadcaster and well-known YouTuber Grace Helbig recently revealed that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
The 37-year-old disclosed her "surreal" and "shocking" diagnosis, which she received around a month ago, in a video.
She contacted her doctor nervously after discovering a little bump, and he confirmed the diagnosis. She told her audience, however, that the disease is "super treatable and highly beatable."
Grace stated her will to face the illness head-on and urged other ladies to be watchful in monitoring any potential signs.
She urged her followers to have any lumps checked out and underlined the value of questioning physicians openly and without embarrassment.
Grace is a well-known internet celebrity who rose to fame in the early days of YouTube and is well-known for her humorous vlogs and trending challenges.
She acknowledged in her video that she was hesitant to address her worries with her gynaecologist for fear of coming out as ignorant about "how girl bodies worked".
Nevertheless, she found the strength to speak out, and her doctor saw the anomaly as well.
Grace has co-created the podcast "This Might Get Weird" with Mamrie Hart throughout her career, and starting in 2015, she aired her own comic talk programme, "The Grace Helbig Show," on the E! Network.
