Big Boss 'Weekend Ka Vaar': Salman Khan criticises contestants
(Web Desk) - Salman Khan, the Big Boss’ host, was vocal about his displeasure with Akanksha Puri, Palak Purswani, and Abhishek Malhan's attitude within the house during the first Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss OTT 2.
Mika Di Vohti's winner, Akanksha Puri, was the target of Salman's reprimand. She was charged with disseminating false information, especially in relation to an event involving Avinash Sachdeva and Jad Hadid. Akanksha was troubled by Jad's actions but refrained from confronting him directly. Jad continued to flirt with her despite her specific request for him to refrain from doing so.
Salman also rejected Akanksha's assertion that she felt "unsafe" around Bebika while they were in jail together, saying that she lacked the skills necessary to refer someone to a doctor.
Salman then addressed Palak Purswani, who had earlier asserted that she suffered from OCD. Salman remarked that Palak didn't appear to care about the mess the house had become since she had arrived.
Abhishek Malhan received criticism as well for not participating in the dynamics of the home. Salman advised him to engage other contestants more and form sincere relationships. In order to defend himself, Abhishek said that he tried to reach Bebika but was unsuccessful.
Show viewers voiced their disapproval at Salman's selection of targets. Many spoke out in Akanksha Puri's defence, applauding her poise and saying that she had done nothing to merit such abuse. The Khabri, a well-known Bigg Boss fan account, criticised the show's producers for unfairly singled out Akanksha, admitting that while it would increase her popularity from the audience, it might also demoralise her within the house. Some people even called Salman Khan a "assh*le" for the way he treated Akanksha.
Others questioned why Bebika's actions were not condemned. They emphasised Bebika's propensity to label Jiya and Akanksha as gold-diggers and to disparage their personalities and private lives. These viewers criticised Salman for ignoring Bebika's behaviour and expressed their dissatisfaction.
Some people also drew attention to the special treatment given to Pooja Bhatt, who Salman described as "strong," "sherni" (a lioness), and "khiladi" (a player). They believed Salman's evaluation was biassed, saying that Akanksha was unfairly singled out for criticism and punishment while "Fukra Insaan" (a reference to Abhishek Malhan) received more than her fair share.
