Hundreds of music fans lined up outside a mall in Rio de Janeiro as tickets for Rock in Rio festival went on sale. Online tickets for all days sold out over the weekend and other slots were put on sale in shopping malls and a soccer stadium.Rock in Rio IV will be held in a major 145,000-square-meter area, in the wealthy neighborhood of Barra da Tijuca, which will be turned into a park for the 2016 Olympics after the event is over. This years line-up include pop stars Elton John, Katy Perry, Rihanna and Shakira, rap superstar Jay-Z, metal bands System of a Down and Metallica, U.S. rock bands Guns N Roses and Red Hot Chili Peppers, British rock band Coldplay and others. Tickets cost $118 US dollars.6-day-long festival will be staged in the end of September and beginning of October. Organizers expect over 600,000 people in 2011s Rock in Rio.
