A group of Bollywood dancers kicked off the unveiling of Madame Tussauds Hong Kongs first ever permanent Bollywood wax figure of Amitabh Bachchan.With more awards than any other Bollywood actor and a career spanning almost 40 years, Bachchan is one of the most prominent figures in the history of Indian cinema.The waxwork was unveiled by award-winning actor Moses Chan, who was joined by Indias consul general, the head of Hong Kongs tourism board and several other leaders of Hong Kongs Indian community.Bachchan, who has acted in more than 180 films, was voted the greatest star of the millennium in a BBC poll.In 2010 he won a lifetime achievement award at the 4th Asian Film Awards in Hong Kong. The actor first made Madame Tussauds history in 2000 when he became the first Indian and Asian to have his wax image installed at the London branch.The Bachchan waxwork is dressed in an Indian-style black suit and white trousers, as seen at the opening of Salon du Cinema at Grande Halle de la Villette in Paris in 2009.
