LAHORE (Daily Dunya) - All the theatres in the country including those in the provinces and federal capital were shut down in respect of Shab-e-Mairaj, the night when the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) ascended to the highest levels of Heavens.
The Muslims every year observe the Shab-e-Meraj on 27th of Rajab (Islamic calendar), the night the Holy Prophet (PBUH) embarked on a special journey to meet Allah Almighty, crossing seven skies riding the heavenly ‘al-Buraq’.

Showbiz related personalities spent the night praying while some of the artists paid visit to Data Darbar and Bibian Pak Daman. The night was observed by religious devotion, serenity and traditional fervor by Muslims across the country.
