Aamir Khan visits archaeological sites, promotes 3 idiots

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan, visited archaeological sites, roamed around and befriended a tourist guide in India's southern town of Mahabalipuram where he had gone to promote his upcoming film '3 Idiots'. Interestingly, the tourist guide had seen only one Hindi film Shalimar and the only actors that he knew of were Dharmendra and Amitabh Bachchan. Aamir Khan asked the people not to disfigure the pillars of our culture. I want to give an important message that important monuments (temple of Mahabalipuram) such as this all over. I request my fans not to distort them by drawing lines, writing on them and spreading filth. This is our culture, our pride and we have to preserve them, said Khan. Of late, Aamir Khan has been making waves by promoting his forthcoming film '3 Idiots' in innovative ways.This film, which is slated to hit the screen, countrywide on Christmas Day, also stars Kareena Kapoor and Sharman Joshi. Rajkumar Hirani directs the film.
