Hundreds of mental disorder patients surprised people by acting in a play in Cuba. French director and actors play Gentleman of Paris was praised by the people. The story of the play revolves around Spanish expatriate who falls prey to many psychological problems after coming to Havana. He used to debate on philosophy, politics and religion on the city roads however later he became an important personality of the city. Some 200 patients of two hospitals acted in the play. Patients who performed suffer from schizophrenia, mental stress and down syndrome. The central character was played by Sendar who had earlier worked with aids patients, homeless people and punished persons of France and Mexico. He said he didnt have anything to do with their aliment rather he took them as new actors.
