Bollywood gives make-up artistes their due

Bollywood stars turned out in full force on Tuesday evening to honour the men and women who make them look like a million bucks. The occasion was the Bharat and Dorris Make-up and Hair Style Awards 2009, and Shah Rukh Khan, Jaya Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor, Asha Bhonsle, Juhi Chawla and Ayesha Takia made sure they were present. Ravi dada got the best hairdresser and artist award. Shah Rukh might be the king of Bollywood, but he took a bow before his make-up artiste, who according to him had been trying very hard to make him look like Hema Malini. Ravi dada did my first make-up. Hemaji lent me his services for two days and ever since then he has been trying to make me look as good as Hema Malini. As you can see, he has failed but he has been really trying, joked Shah Rukh after honouring his make-up artiste.
