The Ajay Devgn-Rohit Shetty duo has done it again. Bol Bachchan, their latest comic caper, is a hit going by its opening weekend collections, proving once again that mindless entertainment is a sure-fire way to make money in Bollywood.“The film amassed Rs. 43.10 crore net over the weekend by delivering non-stop entertainment,” says trade analyst Taran Adarsh. “Rohit believes in entertaining the audience. He isn’t here to win an award or woo the critics. His funda is to entertain and make money,” says Vajir Singh of Box Office India.Despite being made at a steep production cost of Rs. 70 crore (according to official sources), the producing companies — Ajay Devgn Films and Ashtvinayak — had already made their profit by selling the world rights of the film for Rs. 76 crore to Fox Star Studios.Taran adds, “The film had a good start across India. Friday was good, and the collections grew by 35 to 50 per cent by Sunday.”
