The death anniversary of Hamid Ali Bela a folk singer is being observed today.

Hamid Ali Bela was a folk singer from Lahore‚ particularly known for singing kalam of the sufi poet Shah Hussain. He died on June 27‚ 2001 in Lahore.Some of his songs are based on the Sufi kalam of the mystic saints of Punjab like Bulleh Shah‚ Shah Hussain‚ Sultan Bahu‚ and Khwaja Ghulam farid while others are based on the folk lyrics.
