Summary Bollywood star Salman Khan has paid Rs 200 million for a flat worth Rs 40 million.
Former IPS officer and social activist YP Singh has put serious allegations on actor Salman Khan having violated the Maharashtra Regional and Town Planning Act.Salman Khan has reportedly purchased a flat in a building named ‘The Address’, situated at the Bullock Cart Road, which is between the lane of Mannat and Taj Lands End at Bandstand (Bandra) and the power of attorney of the flat in question has been given to Salim Khan (Salmans father). As per documents given to media by YP Singh, Salman Khan on paper has purchased a flat measuring 1079.95 square feet and has paid an exact price of Rs 200 million, but suspicion aroused when Khan paid Rs 1.80 lakh per square feet, which is more than the prevailing market price of Rs 25,000 to 30,000 per square feet.“It is clear that the extra price, which has been given is said to acquire a non-FSI component of the building, which cannot be sold. There is a dedicated parking at the 11th floor with a personal swimming pool. On paper, the property is only 1079.95 square feets, but actually the space occupied (that of the flat) is around 8000 square feet, which is deceiving,” said Singh addressing the media.
