Updated on

Summary

The film industry crisis has been intensified after the imposition of 65 percent entertainment tax on Cinemas in the country. Some small budget films, three of which were being directed by Masood Butt, were launched during last few months but the imposition of entertainment tax by the Punjab government once again forced these films to close. On the other hand, people from the film industry feared that no Pakistani film would be released on Eid-ul-Fitr if the tax is not reviewed by the government.
