Summary
Its taxing time for actor Shah Rukh Khan again. The Income Tax department has dragged the star to the Bombay high court over his foreign earnings as a brand ambassador for the Swiss luxury giant Omega. A commissioner of Income Tax had appealed against a December 2008 order of the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT) which had allowed the actors appeal over a tax deduction dispute with the department. The case in the high court is about the actors income for 2002-03. Shah Rukh had declared an income of almost Rs 20 crore, including Rs 29 lakh as foreign income as Omega brand ambassador.
