Two bandits killed, four held in Lahore, Karachi 'encounters'

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Two suspected robbers were eliminated and four tracked down after alleged encounters with police in Lahore and Karachi, Dunya News reported here on Monday.
In Chung and Nishtar Town of Lahore, two suspected bandits were killed allegedly by the firing of their own accomplices, police claimed.
The suspects were identified as Adnan and Gulzeab. They were being escorted by police for recovery purpose when their accomplices hiding roadside ambushed the police van.
In the attack, the under custody outlaws were killed. Police claimed the suspects were complicit in serious crimes. Their accomplices escaped after the assault. A manhunt was launched for the fleeing robbers.
In Abul Hassan Isfahani Gulshan police jurisdiction of Karachi, two alleged robbers were arrested after they sustained injuries in shootouts with police. They were admitted to hospital. Police were investigating.
In Arman Town, two suspected bandits were arrested after an exchange of fire with police. A motorcycle and other valuables were recovered from them.
