Lahore police conducted a rescue operation in Azad Jammu Kashmir
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab police have rescued 29 children kidnapped from different cities of the province, with the arrest of three kidnappers, who took them to Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK) and forced them for labour in mountains.
DIG Organised Crimes Imran Kishwar in a press conference said that the arrested suspects subjected them to sexual assault and torture when they demanded freedom or money for their work.
They were kept shut in rooms with the presence of security guards. Further investigation was underway, the DIG said.
TWO DRUG PEDDLERS HELD
Police have claimed to have tracked down two drug peddlers with huge quantity of drugs, Dunya News reported here on Saturday.
The arrested suspects were identified as Javaid and Zafar Ali. Over 1100-gram ice and 1260-gram charas have been seized from them. Police have registered a case and started investigation.
EIGHT-YEAR-BOY ASSAULTED
In Bahawalnagar, an eight-year-old boy was subjected to rape in fields.
The victim was working in the fields when he was raped by a man, who escaped after the crime. Police have started investigation after registering a case.
