LAHORE (Web Desk) – Police have arrested a close friend of Amir Balaj Tipu on suspicion of giving information to his killer from Saudi Arabia.
Ahsan Shah has been arrested on his arrival from Saudi Arabia. He is accused of giving information to the killer of Balaj Tipu after taking Rs5 million.
According to police, at the time of the murder, Ahsan Shah was not in Pakistan but he gave information about the presence of Balaj at the wedding ceremony.
On the other hand, family members of Shah said he was arrested from his house by a team of investigation police and alleged that the police tortured him.
Police said Shah took Rs5 million to facilitate the killers of Balaj. Shah denies the allegation.
Balaj Tipu, son of Tipu Truckanwala, was killed and two persons were injured in the firing at a wedding ceremony on Multan Road on Feb 19.
Muzaffar Hussain, the attacker, was also killed on the spot by his own accomplices.
