PESHAWAR: (Web Desk) – Two people – one of them a DSP - were killed and two others injured when two assailants opened fire on them in Malakand on Saturday night.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister’s Additional Chief Security Officer DSP Wakil Khan and his friend Naseeb Khan were gunned down in Dargai Bazaar, Malakand.

According to police, two sons of the DSP sustained critical bullet injuries and were rushed to hospital.

The police said Wakil Khan came to his hometown along with his family on leave when he was targeted by unidentified motorcyclists.

On information, police scrambled to the crime scene and started investigation after shifting the dead bodies and the injured to hospital.

Police said the condition of the injured was critical, adding they had launched a manhunt for the arrest of the fleeing outlaws.
