(Dunya News) - Three suspected robbers were arrested and their two accomplices escaped after encounters with police here on Wednesday, Dunya News reported.
Four bandits riding two bikes stormed into a petrol station in Malir area and plundered cash from the station workers.
Having being informed, police chased the robbers and attempted to stop them on a road.
To see the law enforcers, the robbers opened fire on them. Police retaliated and silenced their guns.
When police searched the area after the shootout, they found two robbers lying on a road. They were injured in the encounter.
Police shifted them to hospital and started investigation.
In another incident in Shahrah-e-Noor area, a bandit was injured and arrested after a gun battle with police.
Two robbers were plundering valuables from passers-by on a road. On information, police raided the area and had an encounter with the outlaws.
During the exchange of fire, a robber was arrested whereas his accomplice managed to escape.
Police started investigation after shifting the injured robber to hospital. Police have recovered a pistol and looted valuables from the arrested robber.
