Robber arrested after 'encounter' with police

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Police arrested a robber when he was injured in an ‘encounter’ with law enforcers in Awami Colony here on Monday, Dunya News reported.
Working on a tip-off, police raided a hideout of two outlaws who were involved in many heinous crimes.
On seeing the police approaching them, the outlaws opened fire on the police party from their hideout.
In retaliation, police also opened fire and silenced the guns of the robbers.
After the encounter, when police searched the area, they found an injured robber lying in the hideout whereas his accomplice escaped.
Police arrested the injured robber and shifted him to hospital. Raids were being made to arrest his accomplice.
Police said the robber was history-sheeter and wanted in many robberies and other crimes.
