A burglar was arrested after encounter with police
KASUR (Dunya News) – Robbers made off with cash, a motorcycle and other valuables in two incidents on Tuesday, Dunya News reported.
In Alipur Shah Colony, robbers barged into a house and took away jewellery, cash and watches worth hundreds of thousands of rupees.
They held the house inmates hostage and tortured them on raising hue and cry.
Police reached the spot and recorded statements from the family members to have a clue about the fleeing robbers.
In another incident in Multan, two robbers snatched a bike and cash from a citizen.
Police were informed about the incident who chased the fleeing robbers and arrested one of them after a brief encounter.
The arrested robber was injured in the encounter and later arrested by the police.
His accomplice managed to escape under the cover of darkness.
Police have started a manhunt for the arrest of the fleeing robbers after collecting forensic evidence.
