Victim’s brother sustains bullet injuries
PAKPATTAN (Dunya News) – Four burglars killed a man and injured his brother on resistance during a robbery in a house in Sadar police jurisdiction.
Four robbers broke into a house and held the people including women and children hostage before plundering valuables, jewellery and cash from the house.
The two brothers put up resistance to the plunderers and tried to snatch weapons from them.
As a result, the outlaws opened fire on them. In this firing one of the two brothers was killed on the spot.
Whereas the other brother got bullet injuries in his head and was admitted to hospital.
The outlaws left the house with valuables. On being informed, area police arrived at the crime scene to collect forensic evidence.
An investigation is under way.
In another incident in Bahawalnagar, police claimed to have busted a gang of plunderers by arresting two members of the gang whereas their third accomplice managed to escape.
Police have recovered looted valuables and weapons from their custody. The arrested outlaws are history-sheeters and dozens of cases were registered against them in different police stations.
Police are investigating to arrest the fleeing robber.
