CTD nabs six terror suspects in IBOs across Punjab

LAHORE (Dunya News) – A team of the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) on Saturday arrested six terrorists in intelligence-based operations (IBOs) across Punjab.
The CTD spokesman said three terrorists had been arrested in Multan, two in Gujranwala and one in Dera Ghazi Khan. Explosive materials, detonators, laptop, primacord and Rs18,800 in cash had been recovered from the terror suspects.
CTD officials said the arrested terrorists had been identified as Liaquat, Nadeem, Inayat, Amir, Ijaz and Younis, adding that six cases had been registered against the suspects and further investigation was under way.
According to officials, 24 suspects were arrested in 227 combing operations this week and 1,1694 people were interrogated.
