LAHORE (Dunya News) - The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) claimed on Saturday to have arrested 11 terrorists in several cities in Intelligence-Based Operations (IBOs) across Punjab.
According to a CTD spokesman, operations are being conducted in order to eliminate the menace of terrorism or foil any terror activity in the province.
The spokesman said the arrested terrorists belonged to banned organisations, adding that explosives, hand grenades, detonators, pamphlets and other items had been recovered from them.
He further said 10 cases had been registered against the suspects in Lahore, Bahawalpur, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi and Sahiwal.
He said 76 FIRs had been registered after arresting 100 suspects during the combing operation this week.
