RAWALPINDI (Web Desk) – A government contractor’s house was attacked in Rawalpindi by a member of the banned outfit Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) when demanded a ransom of Rs15 million on Thursday.

Mohammad Nisar, a resident of Dhoke Lakhan Chakri Road, lodged an FIR saying that he received a voice message on his mobile phone in which the caller identified himself as a representative of TTP and demanded ransom of Rs15 million.

“I shall destroy your brother’s house by hurling hand grenades,” the complainant said in the FIR while quoting the suspect.

Nisar woke up upon hearing an explosion of a cracker from outside his house.

The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) was also involved and started investigation of the case.
