Maritime, Customs team seizes narcotics worth Rs2bn

KARACHI (Dunya News) – The Pakistan Maritime Security Agency and the Customs captured 19 traffickers who were trying to smuggle narcotics worth Rs2 billion by three ships on Monday. 

A gang of smugglers threw narcotics in the sea when Maritime ship reached the scene and officials took them out, a PMSA spokesperson said. He said 128kg ice crystals and 2,500kg hash was recovered from the suspects. 

The PMSA, he said, halted smuggling in seven countermeasure operations and captured 39 smugglers with narcotics worth Rs13 billion in a span of one month, Naveed Kamal said.
