ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) foiled a bid to smuggle heroin from the Benazir Bhutto International Airport, Islamabad on Thursday, recovering heroin-filled capsules from the stomach of a passenger travelling from Islamabad to Sharjah. 

According to a spokesman, as many as 53 capsules filled with heroin were recovered from the stomach of the man who was going to Sharjah from the Islamabad Airport.

In another raid, the ANF officials recovered more than one kilogramme of ice from a passenger of Mandi Bahauddin baggage at the Faisalabad airport. 

The ANF also recovered 1,604 litres of banned chemicals while conducting operations near Chaman Bypass. In yet another operation by ANF, 50kg of hashish was recovered from a bus near Quetta Hazar Ganji Chowk. 

Cases have been registered against the suspects under the Anti-Narcotics Act.
