CTD detains member of banned LeJ
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) on Tuesday apprehended a proclaimed offender of banned Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ) in Karachi.
As per the details garnered, on a tip off, a team of CTD raided Industrial Area of New Karachi and detained an accused namely Mir Ali Haider.
The accused belonged to a family having links crime.
The accused managed to survive shootout at Mastung’s Kerry Road in Balochistan while his brother Jamal was killed after being hit by bullet in 2011.
The accused’s second brother Mubashir was also killed in shootout with the police in Quetta in 2015, while the third brother Yasin was an important member of LeJ.
Mir Ali’s other brothers are on the run in Iran.
