Constable martyred after police van gets shot in Rawalpindi
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – In a firing incident which was targeted at a police van, one policeman got killed while two police officers including a sub-inspector were injured within the limits of Pir Wadhai police station of Rawalpindi.
The police sources told that constable Khurram Shaheed who was shot has lost his life in the incident as he couldn’t survive the intensity of wounds caused by the bullets, whereas two officers including a sub-inspector were injured and they are under treatment.
Through the evidence collected, unknown suspects opened fire at the police van and fled after the firing.
IGP Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan while taking notice of the matter ordered to furnish a report of the incident.
However, the culprits are still at large and further investigations are underway.
